Santa Croce Church in Florence

Our journey will begin in the square, where we'll start with a brief overview of the historical and artistic significance, with a special focus on the façade that was completed in the 19th century. From there, we'll move inside, where you'll have the chance to admire the impressive monumental tombs along the side aisles and the beautiful chapels that decorate the transept.

Our stroll will then take us to the sacristy, home to the renowned crucifix by Cimabue. This artwork, which became a symbol of the flood and the damage caused by this historic event since 1966, will be on display for us to see. Following that, we'll visit the small Museum of the Works, where, among other pieces, you'll find the city's oldest Last Supper painting. Finally, our journey will culminate at the Pazzi Chapel, one of the masterpieces of the Renaissance. Designed by Filippo Brunelleschi at the request of the Pazzi family, this chapel will be our final destination.
